The event itself
If your organisation would like to reduce the impact of its commuting and business travel this free workshop (part of the Mayday network) will give you the opportunity to hear case studies from experts and businesses taking action in this area, with a focus on becoming cycle friendly employers. The event will introduce Business in the Community's partnership with the Department for Transport and the National Business Travel Network.
The workshop will cover the following:
- Introduction to the National Business Travel Network
- The impact of commuting and business travel
- The business benefits of planning and taking action on workplace travel
- The Cycle to Work Guarantee scheme and how to commit to being a cycle-friendly employer
- How cycling to work can increase the health and well-being of your employees
- Introduction to the Regional Excellence Awards for Sustainable Travel
