The West Midlands Carbon Reduction Award recognises businesses in the region that have demonstrated clear leadership in positively managing their environmental impact and have successfully and sustainably reduced their carbon footprint.
They are looking for best practice examples from businesses that can prove that they have taken action in at least one of the following areas:-
- Reduction of carbon emissions in office buildings or other premises/sites.
- Reduction in carbon emissions from travel/transport including staff commuting to and from work Engaging employees in carbon reduction activities as a result on awareness raising campaign.
- Reductions in carbon emissions from purchasing/procurements, including measures to actively encourage suppliers to reduce their own carbon footprint.
Open to any private sector business or social enterprise in the West Midlands
Closing date 26 April 2012
Award will be presented at Business in the Community's West Midlands Awards for Excellence & 30th Anniversary Gala Dinner on 12 June at Edgbaston Stadium, Warwickshire County Cricket Club
