SWM and other partners have worked hard to put in bids to the Department for Transport for funding for the Sustainable Travel City demonstration project. See our letter of support for the bid from Centro last July. Therefore we were disappointed to learn that the Government has decided to cancel the process. On the positive side it has shown the ability and willingness of regional partners to quickly respond to this opportunity to work together to promote sustainable travel. We are sure this enthusiasm will continue.
