Climate change adaptation: proposals for the third round of adaptation reporting

Under the Climate Change Act 2008, the government is required to set out and consult on its strategy for climate change adaptation reporting. The Adaptation Reporting Power (ARP) set out in the Climate Change Act 2008 provides for the Secretary of State to direct reporting organisations to report on how they are addressing current and future climate impacts. Reports should detail:

  • The current and future projected impacts of climate change on their organisation;
  • Proposals for adapting to climate change;
  • An assessment of progress towards implementing the policies and proposals set out in previous reports.
