Purpose of the presentations

The second ILCWG meeting of 2017, that we coordinate on behalf of Birmingham Science City (BSC), took place on 7 June.  The meeting commenced with an overview of current funding opportunities courtesy of Innovate UK, including the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund which will include a significant focus on low carbon. A presentation followed about the exciting new Energy Capital project and Matthew Rhodes outlined how projects can be delivered through this scheme and how partners can get involved.  Updates were also provided on the Combined Authority Science and Innovation Audit and other work being undertaken by and for the WMCA around innovation and sustainability, as well as the latest innovation/low carbon European Structural Development funding opportunities.  See the notes and slides below for full details and links.
