Relevance to the region
SWM are the sustainability adviser for the leaders of the West Midlands. We are a not-for-profit company that works with our members in the business, public and voluntary sectors. Our role is to act as a catalyst for change through our advice to leaders, to develop practical solutions with our members and share success through our communications.
The City Region project is a low carbon economy leadership programme. Its aim is to help local authority and other public sector leaders within the City Region understand and create the opportunities for business to deliver the low carbon economy.
SWM promote award winners and good practice in the West Midlands in the hopes to improve sustainability in the region through sharing ideas and processes shown to be successful at reducing CO2 emissions and saving on cost.
What SWM liked
We like that this presentation helped to promote Sustainability West Midlands and its partners to a wider audience and improve understanding of the progress SWM has made in recent months.
