Our Members > Campaign to Protect Rural England
The West Midlands Regional Group of the Campaign to Protect Rural England consists of representatives from the five county branches in the Region – Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
“We lobby regional and sub-regional organisations, including the West Midlands Combined Authority, to achieve a more sustainable approach to land-use and transport planning in the region – particularly on issues that go beyond the boundaries of individual local authorities.
“Our County Branches deal with local plans and individual planning applications affecting the countryside. Though small in numbers, we have a big impact on key decisions through our professional and experienced planning volunteers.”
SWM and CPRE have clear synergies with the main one being we’re both passionate about the future sustainability of the region. They became members in 2018.
Our contact at CPRE WM is Peter Langley.
