Our Members > Place Partnership

Place Partnership was created in September 2015 and provides Energy and Building Management Services as a part of its Facilities Management capability. They operate from the West Midlands to the Welsh border. Managing over 1,400 assets, with a team of 200 specialists, and with skills in strategic land and project management, they’re experts at creating value, efficiency and savings for clients from effective use of their land and property.

Place Partnership wants to enhance its energy saving consultancy abilities and skill set. To that end it has made three energy related appointments over the last year; two energy managers with of over 20 years’ experience each and all energy activities now combined under a new Head of Energy and Sustainability, who reports directly to the Managing Director. For an organisation of under 250 staff covering a broad range of FM tasks, these appointments show a significant commitment to energy and CO2 reduction

This commitment is already paying dividends in growing the business but there is a desire to go further. E.g. To enhance the energy section there is a need for access to suitable training and local and effective networks. Hence the reason for applying for SWM membership. When joining, Place Partnership mentioned how they would contribute to our Roadmap to 2030:

“We wish to explore ways we can help more organisations with our cost-effective energy saving approach and grow these services to organisations not presently very energy aware in the West Midlands. We have a local focus to save travel costs and carbon emissions. We desire to train up energy effective staff and assist organisations reduce emissions in and around West Midlands, which fits well with the SWM roadmap on resource efficiency, sustainable growth and sustainable energy use.”
