Our Members > Worcestershire Community Rail Partnership

Worcestershire Community Rail Partnership has been established to enable local communities to work with the three Train Operating Companies to improve the 18 stations within the County.

The Partnership exists to connect stations to the communities they serve, using the four pillars framework established by the Department for Transport including:

  • Providing a voice for the community.
  • Promoting sustainable, healthy and accessible travel.
  • Bringing communities together, supporting diversity and inclusion
    Supporting social and economic development

It also encourages and supports volunteer involvement at each of Worcestershire’s 18 stations and is responsible for the grant funding available to these volunteers as they develop ways of enhancing each station’s facilities and appearance. Also, it works with the wider stakeholder community to explore new ways of promoting sustainable and accessible travel with the use of rail at the heart of all such initiatives.
