About Amanda

From disposing of ‘dirty’ waste such as used car tyres to reducing packaging, engaging thousands of employees on their personal and professional sustainability journey to creating a challenging but inclusive 10-year strategy linked to SDGs, sustainability in its widest sense has been a thread throughout my career.

Profile

As a trusted advisor to CEOs and Boards,  through clarity, intelligent and creative thinking, honesty and powerful narratives I have influenced a more sustainable approach to business for over 25 years. I  have helped shape, communicate and embed strategies and chart paths through complex problems providing communications and sustainability advice at a strategic and operational level across the full spectrum of issues companies face including corporate and internal communications, culture change and organisational transformation.

I am also a Trustee for a provocative performing arts charity that focuses on empowering children and young people to find their voice.  Climate change and the wider sustainability agenda is a common theme of our productions influenced and led by our young people.

I set up my own consultancy and executive coaching practice to enable me to bring my skills, experience and passion to help purpose drive organisations and people that want to leave a positive legacy.

The rhetoric around Climate can be scary, confusing and for some it is just too daunting to know where to start and so they put off doing anything. I believe my experience will bring a valuable skill set to SWM. Whilst I’ve commuted into London for over 15 years, as a Midlands’ lass I’ve always been keen to  be able to work ‘back home’ and am excited at the opportunity to do just that with SWM.
