Anyone with an interest in construction and particularly with the desire to learn how Worcestershire have led the drive towards sustainable design and construction over the past 25 years. Representatives from local authorities and organisations are welcome, specifically architects, planners and those who work in property services or building management.
The event itself
Our chair, George Marsh will be speaking at this event to highlight the work Sustainability West Midlands is doing with Advantage West Midlands and the Regional Assembly around the Sustainability Planning Checklist.
The day is split into a variety of different talks each exploring different good practice examples of Worcestershire achieving sustainability in construction and how this helped them to reach Beacon Status for tackling climate change. The presentations include ‘An introduction to Bishops Wood Centre,’ ‘the Worcestershire approach to low carbon design’ and ‘Energy management and cost effective renewable energy technologies in public buildings.’

A booking form is available for this event and should be returned to Rowenna Skidmore by 19th June. A completed booking form returned to Worcestershire County Council is regarded as a firm booking and confirmation that the organisation will pay the full amount of £35 before the event.
