ecobirmingham are hosting two led bike rides on Saturday 20 April to help raise vital funds for their Big Give – Green Match Fundraising Campaign, enabling children across Birmingham experience the wonders of the outdoors.
Enjoy a scenic ride with a friendly group, fab vibes and post ride social.
You can also be sure your wheels are turning smoothly with a FREE bike check from Fabio aka BiclasB12 from 09:30!
What to expect
- A fun time discovering bike friendly routes and connecting with people outdoors.
- FREE light refreshments.
- All participants will receive a FREE post ride beer* at Attic Brew Co and a copy of ‘ecobrimingham’s illustrated ’69wards by Bike or Foot’ map (*Alcohol free options available).
- Rides led by qualified leaders, 2 routes to choose from, something suitable for everyone.
- These are social rides, nobody gets left behind. There will be pit stops, chatting and smiles.
The routes
- 15km / 10mile Route – expect a lovely, bike friendly route. This will be a fun, relaxed ride exploring some of the city’s greenspaces via mostly shared paths and quiet streets. Suitable for all abilities and all bikes.
- 35km / 21mile Route – expect a fun ride on mixed terrain. This is a great bike friendly urban explorer route with lots of scenery to enjoy. The route uses a mixture of national cycle routes, shared paths and quiet roads to create a lovely loop. Suitable for regular riders.
Please note you will need your own bike and helmet to take part in this ride.
Your donation
ecobirmingham has secured match funding through The Big Give! This means every £1 donated through their Big Give page between 18 – 25 April will be matched by £1 from the Big Give until they reach the goal of £5000!
They suggest a donation of £15pp for this event. All funds raised will help enable children across Birmingham experience the wonders of the outdoors. Providing access to outdoor learning and play opportunities encouraging the next generation of children to appreciate and care for nature and our planet.
They will share a link to their Big Give donate page with those who have booked a spot once it is live. There will also be opportunity to donate by cash or QR code at the event. Your support means the world.
