WFEG’s annual Big Green Fair will take place this year in the new location of Lichfield Guildhall, with the added support of Low Carbon Lichfield.
Wildlife Kate, will be the star attraction at this year’s Fair. Kate, who lives close to Lichfield City, has captivated viewers of SpringWatch and Gardeners’ World with her webcams of garden birds and mammals. She will be giving talks and workshops through the day and demonstrating her range of bird feeding techniques and cameras, as well as showing recordings of the wildlife in her garden.
Also at the event will be Penney Poyzer, one of the country’s leading experts on home energy. Penney will be giving talks about her Nottingham eco-home, a Victorian terraced house which has been described as the nation’s most extensively retrofitted home.
In addition there will be a whole range of entertainment and a wide range of stalls including local crafts, renewable energy and energy-saving, local food and drink producers, wildlife organisations and many others, all guaranteed to put a spring in the step of visitors. More attractions and entertainment will be announced nearer the time.
