The event
Last September, Birmingham City Council announced it had secured £24.3 million in DfT and local funding for the first phase of an exciting 20 year initiative to significantly increase cycling in the city. The initiative will deliver a wide range of economic, social and environmental benefits for Birmingham, and this event will give your organisation an early opportunity to find out more and get involved. The project team and local councillors will provide an update on how the programme is shaping up, what is planned and the opportunities for your organisation to get involved and to benefit from the initiative. The event will launch Birmingham’s Bike Week programme, which starts on 15 June, and details of activities during this week and the coming months will be revealed. There will be plenty of opportunities for networking and to talk to the project team, and there will be prizes for anyone who arrives by bike!
