The event itself
Have the concepts of ‘urban’ and ‘rural’ passed their sell-by date and do they hinder the pursuit of a more joined up and integrated approach to environmental issues in today’s complex West Midlands’ economy?
The event will focus on asking ‘What are the Environmental Priorities for Birmingham and our Local Enterprise Partners’ and speakers include Cllr Timothy Huxtable, Cabinet member for Regeneration and Transportation, Birmingham City Council and Simon Slater, Birmingham Environmental Partnership.
The formation of the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) covering Birmingham, Solihull, Lichfield, Tamworth, East Staffordshire, Cannock and Bromsgrove provides a new mechanism that will allow a more collaborative approach to economic development. This is your opportunity to influence this new way of working.
