The event
This workshop will support businesses in the West Midlands by helping them to adapt to the impacts of severe weather and climate change. The focus audience is SMEs and the workshop will include an opportunity to discuss impacts that have already affected businesses along with good practice presentations from businesses that have taken action. The final part of the workshop will allow all attendees to complete the Business Resilience Healthcheck, a tool designed specifically to assist SMEs with identifying the problems that severe weather may cause. The overarching aims of this workshop are as follows:
- To discuss how severe weather has affected your business and to learn from responses that have been developed by other businesses.
- To appreciate the range of support that is available, in particular from the Environment Agency in terms of flood alleviation.
- To complete a Business Resilience Healthcheck for your organisation and to appreciate how this can help improve the preparedness of your business to the impacts of severe weather.
Please note that this is the second of four events focusing on SME resilience up to March 2015, so if you cannot make this event there will be other opportunities later in the year.
