The Event

Environment & Energy Network: Food Waste Action Week 2024

Love Food Hate Waste’s Food Waste Action Week takes place from 18 – 24 March with the theme “Choose What You’ll Use’.

This year, Love Food Hate Waste is encouraging you to “Choose What You’ll Use” by buying your fruit and vegetables loose instead of packaged. Research from Love Food Hate Waste has shown that we could reduce food waste by 60,000 tonnes just by buying loose fruit and veg!

The next Environment & Energy Network meeting will discuss Food Waste Action Week and what we can do across our communities to reduce food waste, and will take place on Thursday 21 March, 13:00 – 14:30.

There will also be the usual updates on energy bills, policy, funding and consultations.

(Please note that the date has changed from the previously advertised date of 19 March).

If your organisation has anything they would like to share with regards to WWD, or anything else at the meeting, please contact elizabethg@bvsc.org.
