The Event
Close to all of the 68 UK local authorities that disclosed to CDP in 2023 have identified at least one climate hazard impacting their area. While an encouraging 85% reported having climate action plans addressing adaptation, the challenge persists in translating these ambitions into impactful action.
This webinar aims to provide valuable insights and guidance to UK local authorities on how to identify achievable adaptation actions, develop a robust monitoring and evaluation framework. It will also offer a broader overview of some of the available support to drive adaptation planning and action forward.
Be joined by Alan Carr from Sustainability West Midlands who will present practical approaches for local authorities to develop and implement actionable adaptation plans.
Next, you will hear from speakers from Herefordshire Council and Richmond and Wandsworth Councils who will share their experiences implementing adaptation actions.
The session will conclude with a Q&A segment, allowing ample time for audience participation and queries.
