The event itself
The West Midlands Climate Adaptation Partnership, have put together an agenda on climate adaptation which will provide an update on Climate Ready and showcase examples where West Midlands local authorities have implemented adaptation measures.
The session will cover:
- An update on the Environment Agency’s Climate Ready programme, with additional focus on the Health and Wellbeing theme
- Local Government and the Built Environment themes and their importance for Local Authorities
- Best practice from Local Authorities in the West Midlands
- Climate change vulnerability maps and role on Local Adaptation Advisory Panel
- Incorporating adaptation into overall risk management strategy
- Design for future climate change project
The next WMSDON meeting will follow this workshop in the afternoon.
