The event
The 2014 IPCC Report identified the need for a greater focus on adaptation in business to reduce the risks and impacts of climate change and the need to design for greater resilience in new infrastructure and the built environment. The importance and urgency of finding effective business solutions to mitigate climate change was echoed in the debates held in Paris at COP 15. SWM will be one of the speakers at this free workshop, which will present some of the solutions being adopted by companies to reduce risk in their business, and to protect cities and key installations: examine how these can be replicated; and provide an opportunity to discuss the need to develop new products and services. Speakers Include:
- Jacobs
- UK BCSD
- SUEZ
- Severn Trent
- Sustainability West Midlands
- Birmingham City University
