Is your business ready for a climate-changed world? Get ahead by understanding the impact of climate change and give your business the edge in tomorrow’s world. Our world is adapting and transforming its carbon profile at an astonishing rate. It is essential that the next generation of business managers is knowledgeable about, and prepared for, the changing world and that they understand how their business decisions will have global impact. To address this issue, Aston University has gathered some of the UK’s leading climate change, low-carbon, sustainability and business speakers in Birmingham to deliver a series of talks which will build knowledge and inspire future business leaders. The Climate Change, Decarbonisation and the Future Business Landscape conference will provide you with the foundation knowledge to link the complexities of climate change issues and help your staff to join the dots on this wide-reaching subject. Expert speakers will present an informative and broad landscape of climate change science, the associated politics and media reportage, and the diversity of human behaviours provoked by the prospect of radical change. Confirmed to speak at this event are Reeta Chakrabarti (Broadcaster/Journalist), Kirsty Lewis (UK Met Office), Caroline Spelman (MP), Clive Myrie (Broadcaster/Journalist) and Robin Ince (Comedian), with contributions from Ismail El Gizouli (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), Professor Dame Julia King (Aston University) and Keith Clarke CBE (Royal Academy of Engineering) among others.
