The Event

Green Business Network has got over 2200 members who regularly get together to discuss low carbon opportunities, share ideas and promote energy, resource, waste and water efficiency as well as engage on low carbon, environmental and green sustainability initiatives.

Join this event to hear more about Net Zero local initiatives, green transport and grants available for SMEs interested in reducing their carbon footprint. This includes:

  • Green transport and the benefits of WM On-demand for businesses
  • Sustainability West Midlands and the West Midlands Net Zero Business Pledge
  • What local businesses do to become more energy efficient and environmentally friendly
  • Free energy audits and grants

Speakers’ bio

Mark Collins is Head of Future Transport at Transport for West Midlands. As part of his portfolio, he is responsible for the Future Transport Zone programme in the West Midlands, which includes elements such as Mobility Credits, Mobility Hubs, Mobility-as-a-Services, new modes including eScooters and WM On-demand. He is also involved in establishing the future mobility strategy within TfWM, deploying the learnings from these innovation programmes. Before joining TfWM he spent 11 years at Jaguar Land Rover in a series of engineering and management roles including vehicle prototyping, vehicle packaging, technology research and advanced engineering. With a degree in Mechanical and Automotive Engineering he has extensive experience of delivering new technologies and mobility systems.

Nathaniel Weaver is Project Officer at Sustainability West Midlands, manager of the West Midlands Net Zero Business Pledge supporting and consulting businesses to achieve Net Zero. Sustainability West Midlands was established in 2002 and is the sustainability champion for the West Midlands. They are an independent, not-for-profit organisation that works with their members in the private, public and third sectors. Their vision is that the West Midlands is leading in contributing to the national target of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 whilst addressing health inequality and driving inclusive growth.

Bernadette McCullagh is Business Development Advisor at Coventry City Council. Bernie holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Studies, is a Practitioner of IEMA (PIEMA) and has over 12 years’ experience in environmental sustainability roles, specialising in energy and sustainability management, across private, public and third sector organisations.
