The event
With the constant fluctuation in fuel costs, the workforce demands a cheaper way of getting to work with options such as cycling and walking, public transport, and car sharing being the most viable options.
When encouraging more sustainable travel options they need to be attractive and competitive in meeting business and personal needs. For businesses in particular this means finding a way of ensuring that sustainable transport is consistent with commercial priorities. For individuals this may mean changing long established travel habits.
By being adaptable, flexible and agile, organisations that can work remotely or on the move as well as in the office are covering all eventualities whether they relate to congestion, bad weather, fuel shortages, strikes, accidents and major incidents. Adaptability enables us to protect or organisations in ensuring business continuity in the most difficult of circumstances. Dealing with these issues can now help us to future proof our businesses.
With this in mind, the West Midlands Region of TravelWise and INVOLVE are hosting a free conference for you to gain the expertise to introduce travel initiatives into your business and provide the support to help you. It will give you the opportunity to share best practice and act as a forum to network with other organisations with similar issues.
