The event

This year there will only have enthusiastic owners. We already have a wide range of makes and models and owners are being asked to offer short demonstration rides. There will be BMW, Kia, Nissan, Renault and Tesla electric cars (and more!) with owners willing to take you out in them and tell you the unvarnished truth about range, charging, real running costs, battery life and all those other things you’re not sure about. Electric cars are doubling their sales every year and now make up about 2% of the whole market, so hardly a big chunk but within five years they will be cheaper than the ‘ordinary’ petrol driven ones; and they are already much, much cheaper to run, so everyone will be wanting one. So come along and try them out, from the seriously whacky Twizzy to the seriously cool Tesla Model S, with the more sensible ones in between; because your next car – or perhaps your next but one – will probably be electric.

Booking and further information

This is an event for everyone, but specifically for Friends of Stretton Climate Car. As this is a public event, there is no need to book your place. If you are an electric vehicle owner, and you’re willing to bring it along for an hour or so, please contact Stretton Climate Care to let them know as soon as possible on 01694 720353.
