The event itself
Presenters: Alison Maguire, Business School and Agne Prochorskaite, IESR
The purpose of this session is to outline the challenges faced by businesses and the strategies through which businesses may respond to environmental issues. It will consider the implications of legislation, including the Climate Change Act 2008 and introduce Environmental Management Systems, highlighting the commercial advantages of gaining a national/internationally recognised standard.
How do you attend this event
This is part of a series of 3 workshops. Workshop 2 (Renewable Energy as an income stream) will be held on 30 June and Workshop 3 (EMS for SMEs: A step-by-step approach to implementing an environmental management system) will be held on 2 July.
Fees £25 per workshop or £50 for all three.
