The event
Upgrading street lighting to more efficient LED technology can offer huge benefits – lower energy costs, controllability, improved landscape aesthetics and reduced light pollution, whilst enhancing safety for pedestrians and motorists. Yet only around 1 in 5 of the street lights in the UK is currently LED. This FREE workshop is designed to help that transition, and offers the opportunity to learn from some of the most experienced names in lighting. Street lighting project has many challenges, such as ensuring sound system design, use of quality products, and an appropriate control strategy. The Premium Light Pro project, in partnership with the Lighting Industry Academy have developed this one-day workshop to help set you on your way to planning and implementing a successful street lighting upgrade and will look at:
- Introduction to LED street lighting
- Applications and solutions to different challenges
- Design considerations for different areas
- Control systems and strategies
- Procurement, funding and making a business case
