Fit for the Future Network
The Event
UPDATE: This event will now become a VIRTUAL EVENT, please register your interest via the usual process. We are delighted to have Zach Lewis (National Trust), Alex Pitman (Cooperative Group) and Emma Gardner (University of Manchester) share their learnings so far, and an opportunity to ask them questions.
Please note the site tour that was due to follow the event is now cancelled.
In November 2019 our Energy Managers (and others) came together to discuss net zero – what does this mean, is there a standard definition, what is the role of offsetting and how do we approach our Scope 3 emissions?
This meeting will share progress and experiences to date of some of these issues, and will also
aim to confirm and sign off a standard net zero definition for Fit for the Future Network.
Although aimed at Energy Managers, all those interested in this topic are welcome to attend.
Other issues will also be covered that are relevant to the group, including:
– findings from the latest ESOS audits and next steps
– SECR feedback
– any other agenda items raised by the group in the interim
Following the event, we also have the opportunity to take a few people on a
site tour of the Northern Estates Houses of Parliament refurb project led by the Sustainability Manager at Wates Group, Jon Brookes. Places on this are extremely limited – we have two spaces left – so please
sign up here if you would like to attend. The tour will run from 16.00-17.00 from Millbank and we will walk down from the meeting.
Tea and coffee will be provided, we look forward to seeing you there.
