The event
The Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) is a mandatory energy assessment scheme for organisations in the UK that meet the qualification criteria. The Environment Agency is the UK scheme administrator. Organisations that qualify for ESOS must carry out ESOS assessments every 4 years. These assessments are audits of the energy used by their buildings, industrial processes and transport to identify cost-effective energy saving measures. This free Information Awareness Session will be led by Dave Tovey, UK Environment & Risk Prevention Manager for Michelin Tyre PLC. Dave will give a briefing on the scheme, followed by a round table Q & A discussion to consider practicalities, routes to compliance, costs & timescales. It is anticipated that this session will evolve into an ESOS group to share knowledge for businesses who fall under this new legislation.
