Engage for Good Event

The Event

Volunteers are vital to the Environmental sector. However, these volunteers, and the organisations they volunteer with, have specific support needs.

At this Environment and Energy Network meeting, the BVSC will focus on Environmental Volunteering and be joined by:

  • Becky Isaac: Vision for Volunteering Implementation Manager, BVSC. Becky will be sharing about Birmingham’s Vision for Volunteering, what it could mean for you and how you can get involved.
  • Eve Edwards: Pilotlight. Pilotlight, is a charity that creates and manages skilled volunteering programmes that address the challenges charities face and provide them with the expertise and resources they need to thrive. Eve will briefly discuss a recent report looking at the critical needs of environmental organisations and the capacity building programmes that Pilotlight offers to support them.
  • Tom Bostock: Investment Manager, Key Fund. Tom will share details of their Energy Resilience Fund in particular.

You can also expect the usual updates on energy bills, policy, funding, consultations and more.
