The event
Enhancing Sustainability & Performance through Employee Engagement and Leadership
The UoB is undertaking some research that seeks to generate an improved evidence base regarding how employees within whole organisations or teams achieve greater sustainability. This research will assess the impacts of business-led and employee-centred sustainability programmes on both work performance and environmental sustainability. Particular benefits to your organisation or team of taking part include: · Tailored analysis of awareness / engagement of your organisation’s sustainability programmes among your employees and analysis of the performance impacts of your sustainability programmes. · Benchmarked analysis of your company relative to other participating companies on key indices of employee engagement and sustainability. · Tailored analysis of the opportunities for your organisation to improve both sustainability and business performance. · Opportunities to generate focused media-oriented outputs to showcase sustainability successes. The interactive workshop, marking the launch of this research, will aim to address these points and allow you to discuss the successes and challenges you have faced in implementing sustainability programmes. Following the workshop, the University of Birmingham project team will ask you to fill in a brief (c.15 minute-long) online survey at three additional points in time over the subsequent couple of months. More details can be found in this document. An agenda for the workshop is available here.
