The event

This festival is a showcase for sharing skills and knowledge among the community. There will be workshops and demonstrations and top prizes for winners of the Refashion Show. If you have ever wondered why do we throw away so much useful stuff? And would like to:

  • Give things a new lease of life with a bit of inspiration!
  • Get tips on how to mend, fix, repair and refurbish – from sewing on a button to revarnishing a table.
  • Learn the techniques of upcycling to transform everyday materials into new and useful objects.
  • Become part of the refashion movement.
  • Reduce waste and help our environment.

This is the festival for you. Why not enter the Refashion Show, which offers prizes for both junior and senior categories; Junior show (up to 14 years): first prize £50, and Senior show: first prize £100? For more details contact Rob Hine of Sustainability Matters via email: roberthine@btinternet .com or phone (01785) 603387. Closing date for entries 25 June 2016.
