Flood & Coast 2023 is an industry-leading annual event for those working towards a sustainable future, is set to take place from 6 to 8 June at the Telford International Centre.

Flood & Coast is not just a conference; it is a community of diverse individuals and organisations working together and seeking innovative solutions aimed at helping the people and places most at risk from flooding and coastal erosion. The event provides a platform for sharing ideas, debating strategies, and celebrating successes.
This year’s event will feature an array of world-class speakers, including experts in flood risk management, climate change, coastal erosion, and resilience. Attendees can also participate in interactive workshops, networking sessions, and site visits to see innovative flood and coastal defence projects in action.
In addition to the main conference programme, Flood & Coast 2023 will feature an exhibition highlighting the latest products, technologies, and services in the field of flood and coastal erosion risk management (FCERM).

Flood & Coast 2023 is a 3-day conference programme, each day emphasising a particular theme with our strategic partners. Day 1, supported by our partners The Environment Agency, is themed on Flooding and Coastal erosion risk management in a changing climate. Day 2, supported by our partners The Rivers Trust, will explore how we, as a community, can build natural flood management and broader nature-based solutions and see them become mainstreamed. Day 3, supported by The Association of SuDS Authorities, is a full day about surface water management for people places and the environment – working with CIWEM’s Urban Drainage Group.
The event is owned by The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) in collaboration with strategic partners, Association of SuDS Authorities (ASA), The Rivers Trust and The Environment Agency.
