The Event
We rely on energy at home and in the workplace; and yet, it is the largest source of our greenhouse gas emissions. Whilst we are seeing more renewable energy on the gird, and cleaner cars on our roads, energy remains one of the UK’s biggest decarbonisation challenges, and one that is all too often overlooked.
This event will discuss how we are planning on solving this challenge facing society and what low-carbon measures are already in place within our local region. Speakers will be presenting on the key energy technologies that are currently available for businesses to deliver their carbon and sustainability targets. There will also be presentations from real-life business case studies, and top tips to provide readers with the insight and inspiration needed to drive forward their energy agendas.
There will also be a walking tour of buildings within Coventry City Centre which are powered by renewable energy and the City’s underground Heatline to demonstrate alternative energy solutions which are reducing carbon emissions in the local area.
After the event, further support and guidance will be given by the Green Business Programme, to help your organisation quantify energy and cost savings. Refreshments and a breakfast will be provided. This event is partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and is being delivered by Coventry City Council and Coventry University Enterprises.
