The event itself

Sustainability West Midlands and the Big Lottery Fund are offering a free event aimed at West Midlands’ community groups on good practice and funding opportunities.

The aims of the event are:

  • Share good practice between community groups
  • Find out about accessing funding opportunities

 

A Big Lottery Fund representative will present on both environment related and non-environment related funding opportunities.

Marches Energy Agency will present on the Community Strand of the West Midlands Local Authority Low Carbon Economy Programme. This project provided tailored advice, guidance and support direct to over thirty community-owned renewable energy projects to assist them towards successful implementation. Training was also provided to community mentors to help promote and spread ideas, best practice and to support the delivery of community renewables projects.

There will also be presentations from community groups on their experiences.
