The event

Join us at this free event to learn how businesses are adopting innovative approaches to managing waste and how a significant construction project was delivered to provide long term benefits for the natural environment and local communities. Hosted by Veolia at their new state-of-the-art Staffordshire Energy Recovery Facility you’ll hear:-

  • How Veolia is transforming its business model to become an innovator in the circular economy
  • Approaches that businesses can take towards ‘zero waste to landfill’ illustrated by case studies from Veolia customers
  • The steps that Veolia took to work closely with the community throughout the construction process and into operations on issues including land management, biodiversity, flood risk and community engagement and how you can adopt the same ideas in your business

The event will include a guided tour of the site, where you’ll be able to see how the plant generates power for 35,000 homes by diverting waste from landfill.
