Audience

This workshop is for members of the Innovation Alliance for the West Midlands (IAWM) Innovative Low Carbon Working Group (ILCWG), as well as the wider IAWM ecosystem. If you wish to join the ILCWG, please get in touch (contact details below).

The event

The Innovative Low Carbon Working Group (ILCWG) is run by SWM in partnership with the Innovation Alliance for the West Midlands (IAWM). It is a cross-sector network aiming to build and connect the innovative low carbon ecosystem of the West Midlands focusing especially on the WM Local Industrial Strategy sector strengths of low carbon technology, energy and clean growth, future mobility and sustainable construction. ILCWG meetings, run quarterly, aim to share information and good practice and catalyse new partnerships and collaborative activities that help to further develop innovation within and between the sectors outlined above.   • Alex Taylor from GBSLEP, who will be talking about the The Low Carbon and Environmental Technologies Industry Steering Group; this will be your opportunity to ensure ILCWG members’ voices are heard in the shaping of this Group’s objectives
  • Howard Perry from Severn Trent Water, who will be talking about their ideas of a green recovery and how ILCWG members can help to take these forward.
  • Updates on public funding from Jenni McDonnell from KTN, a round-up of current Innovation Alliance activity from Pam Waddell OBE and the usual opportunities to connect, collaborate and share your good practice.
