The Event
The construction and demolition sector is the biggest creator of waste in the economy, and the creation of new materials for construction is a significant contributor to carbon emissions. The West Midlands is beginning to address this challenge through the WMCA circular economy roadmap, helping to make the region an exciting area for innovations that can really make a positive difference to the environmental impact of the construction sector. Innovators with good ideas for increasing circularity in the built environment, and stakeholders who need to improve their practices with new ideas are invited to come along for a good discussion, networking, and potential collaboration.
CONFIRMED SPEAKERS:
- Jordan Gerrard – Circular Economy Project Delivery Officer WMCA
- Clare Ollerenshaw – Associate Director at Accelar Ltd and Circular Economy Club Birmingham Volunteer
