The Event
The construction sector around the globe is experiencing an unprecedented time and this has the potential to lead the industry into a transformational era in the short and medium-term. The industry is continually evolving with respect to its exploitation of emerging technologies and the use of increasing amounts of digital data. Aligned with this is the need for a more sustainable built environment for the future, which is leading researchers, practitioners and policymakers to develop a wide range of innovative future-looking solutions.
The broad spectrum of the conference will allow researchers and practitioners to ‘future gaze’ into the construction industry. Drawing on guest presentations from key experts from around the world, including the UK, USA and Australia, the specific themes of the conference will focus on discussions around process improvement, emerging technologies such as AI, directions for educating our future professionals and emerging developments in offsite. All this will be set against the backdrop of the current global crisis and how we are able to learn lessons for future resilience.
Key speakers include Professor Chimay Anumba (University of Florida, USA), Professor Dilanthi Amaratunga (Huddersfield University, UK) and Professor Richard Burt (Auburn University, USA).
