Built Environment Climate Change Innovations (BECCI)The event
Businesses located within the Black Country (Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell and Dudley) can now receive a fully funded intellectual property (IP) audit to help with new product design and innovation.
The funding is offered by Built Environment Climate Change Innovations (BECCI) which is a project run by the University of Wolverhampton and part-funded by the European Union. The BECCI project aims to support local businesses with product innovation, encouraging SMEs to become innovation active, and encouraging adoption of low carbon technologies.
The mini innovation IP audits are provided by Swindell and Pearson as specialist professional advisors to BECCI.
BECCI has a remit to undertake activities that include the
- Testing of individual innovative products
- Product evaluation and innovation within new product development
- Supporting a variety of local SMEs with the development of their low carbon products and to increase their adoption in the marketplace.
- Activities to move BECCI SME’s towards being more innovation active. This will include new product development, for example digitalisation and helping support SMEs with the adoption of leading edge low carbon technologies into the Built Environment sector.
The IP mini innovation audits supports the above.
