This workshop is designed to support local SMEs understand what the shift to electrification means for their business.
Changes in legislation aimed at hitting net zero carbon targets are driving a rapid transition to electrified systems through transport, energy & industrial sectors. This rapid shift impacts the whole supply chain within these sectors requiring new skills, technology and products. The electric machine and the associated drive system (power electronics, electrical systems and controls) is at the heart of electrified systems. This module is designed to support partners understand what the shift to electrification means for their business with an introduction to the technology, products and skills needed.
Through a series of workshops, this program will help the participants to get a view of the topic and learn about the core components of the electrified system. It will also help to understand what the opportunities are and identify the actions they need to take to start or accelerate their transition.
