The workshop
The National Planning Policy Framework requires a presumption in favour of sustainable development. This workshop aims to identify what sustainable development is, and how to make sure that developments will be viewed as sustainable.
In this half day workshop, SWM Green Leader Rosemary Coyne will give an introduction to the topic looking at context and infrastructure, as well as using the ‘9 steps of sustainable development’. Rosemary will explain why sustainable development isn’t just about low carbon materials and energy efficiency, but long-term viability and changing needs over time.
