The audience for this event is to include: Local authority elected members, service managers and officers from highways engineering, maintenance, street services, strategic planning, regeneration, environment and sustainability.

The event itself

Climate UK, in association with the Environment Agency, ADEPT, Department for Transport and CIHT are presenting a series of workshop on Local Highways and Climate Change across England during summer 2013.

Local highways have been identified as a critical area for adaptation nationally and these events are for local highway stakeholders concerned with the present and future maintenance and development of the local highway network. 

Speakers from the Department of Transport, Environment Agency, ADEPT and professional institutes will provide a mixture of presentations and opportunities for discussion.
