The event

In partnership with the BEIS, MHCLG and the LOCARBO Project, Durham County Council will be hosting an ‘engaging energy consumers with efficiency’ workshop. On behalf of Durham County Council we would like to invite you to attend this free workshop. The workshop will be attended by experts from across the country particularly those who have experience and knowledge delivering energy efficiency improvements to SMEs; throughout the day we will discuss the practicalities of delivering energy improvements as well as other finance and policy opportunities. To help guide the discussion throughout the day we can announce confirmed speakers: •Mark Joslyn (MHCLG), ERDF Sustainability Manager and National Lead for PA4 •Jonathan Mullard (BEIS), Local Energy Planning & Programme Manager •Margaret Sutherland (BEIS), Senior Policy Advisor, Business Energy Use Team We are delighted to announce that at this workshop we will be launching the LOCARBO Action Plan which builds on best practice from across Europe. We will also be hosting a meet and greet from 6pm on Wednesday 12th September at the Hotel Indigo where refreshments and canapés will be provided. The meet and greet is a great opportunity to speak to the other delegates in an informal and friendly atmosphere ahead of the following days’ workshop. Delegates are recommended to book a hotel within or very close to Durham City to ensure ease of access to Hotel Indigo and Durham Cathedral. The Visit Durham website provides a list of accommodation which meets strict high standards
