The event
The growth of electric vehicles (EVs) continues to be a hot topic. Both the transport and energy industries are in agreement that EVs represent the decarbonisation of the future transport system. However, challenges lie in ensuring that the necessary infrastructure and technology is in place to cope with the inevitable increased demand on the network.
This special event will launch ESC’s new report: ‘Preparing UK Electricity Networks for Electric Vehicles’. Commissioned by National Grid, it highlights the effects of EV uptake on the electricity grid and recommends how to avoid network capacity constraints that would impede the roll out of EVs.
