The National Social Giving Conference 2012 gives companies, local authorities and charities the opportunity to learn about and discuss the latest developments in CSR, Social Giving & Philanthropy.
In the last year, there have been significant developments in the social investment market. The launch of the first social investment institution of its kind in the world – Big Society Capital; the development of pioneering social impact and charity bonds; and the emergence of new investors.
However, there is no doubt that the 12 months ahead will bring testing times for the third sector, as the full impact of the public funding cuts come to a head and the demand for funds continues to increase.
At the same time, when it comes to corporate philanthropy, businesses have an expectation that a return on investment is not only acceptable, but often required internally and considered to be good practice.
The Social Giving Conference 2012 addresses all the above issues in a thought-provoking day.
