The Event
This one-day innovation lab on ‘Nature Recovery, Nature Based Solutions and Brownfield site Redevelopment –Conflict or Partnership?’ is a first of its kind knowledge exchange platform that aims to transform brownfield remediation through nature-recovery strategies and nature-based solutions. Organised as part of the University of Wolverhampton’s Green Growth Knowledge Exchange Initiative, the event brings together key leaders, policy makers and practitioners from across the UK to share evidence-based information, showcase case studies and success stories, and explore opportunities for new markets and innovation in these critical areas.
The day will feature a series of presentations covering a range of topics (e.g., Natural assets in the West Midlands, holistic Nature-Recovery practices, Biodiversity Net Gain, Nature-based solutions, Green and Blue infrastructure, Bioremediation and Sustainable development). Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about local innovation in nature recovery, nature-based solutions and biodiversity enhancement projects across the West Midlands and beyond through a series of best-practice case studies.
The purpose of this event is to create an open forum for discussion and information exchange around nature recovery and nature-based solutions, and thereby facilitate collaboration and innovation in sustainable development.
