The event
The workshop on 3 August forms one workstream of the research part funded by the West Midlands Housing Officers Group (WMHOG). The purpose of the research is to agree a voluntary new build performance standard to support better outcomes from investment in new housing. The day will follow the previously tested and successful SHAP format of inviting practictioner experts, researchers and policy makers to contribute their own experience and information to the discussion. The day will start with scene setting presentations but the bulk of the activity will be between delegates. The outcome will be an informed agreement on where the West Midlands would like to see the energy efficiency standard for all tenures of housing set as a voluntary target exceeding Building Regulations.
