The event itself
As part of the ‘Planning for Low Carbon Energy’ work strand of the ‘West Midlands Low Carbon Economy Programme’, we are offering the following free site visit to West Midlands local authority officers.
This will be a walking tour from Shire Hall via a number of historic buildings in the city centre that have been retro-fitted with low carbon measures, to the Marches Energy Agency Building (The Pump House, Coton Hill SY1 2DP) where Richard Davies will give a talk on the low carbon technologies installed including insulation, heat recovery, solar panels, biomass boiler, rainwater recycling and control systems.
Please wear suitable footwear and bring a coat (and umbrella). The Pump House is 5 minutes walk from Shrewsbury railway station.
If you wish to come on the walking tour and are not attending the in-depth session in the morning, please email stephen.owen@ursusconsulting.co.uk and come to Shirehall Reception (Shirehall, Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY2 6ND) by 1.45pm.
Local authority officers are welcome to attend the in-depth session and site visit or to only attend the site visit.
