Pollution Prevention – Practical Guidance and Business Benefits

FREE EVENING SEMINAR

Time : 4.30pm (5pm start) – 7pm

Venue :  Bethel Convention Centre, Kelvin Way, West Bromwich, B70 7JW

Pollution can relate to emissions to land, air or water and is not solely related to those activities requiring an Environmental Permit. All businesses generate pollution to some extent for example:

  • Waste sent to landfill
  • Cleaning water put down the drain
  • Vehicle washing
  • Solvent use
  • Use of vehicles.

The aim of this seminar is to provide information on pollution prevention including:

  • Practical pollution prevention techniques relevant to all businesses.
  • Business benefits attached to pollution prevention and control.
  • Legal reasons for addressing pollution prevention and control.
  • Costs which could be incurred if pollution prevention is not addressed.

This seminar will also be an opportunity to hear from a local company who have taken steps to prevent and control pollution from their activities

Find out what they did, and how their business has benefitted as a result.

As usual there will be an update on new and incoming environmental legislation, and the opportunity to raise any environmental issues you may have with Business Advisers from BISNES and Groundwork West Midlands.
