The event itself
Localise West Midlands are very pleased to invite you to LWM’s 10th anniversary speaker event, discussion and (optional) ChangeKitchen buffet.
Our guest speaker is Tim Jenkins, Director of the Great Transition initiative at the new economics foundation. Our founder member and writer on localisation, Colin Hines will also contribute.
The event will:
• Celebrate LWM’s achievements and future
• Outline Tim Jenkins’ take on processing a better economy, exploring how we can progress wider economic change for a more equitable and sustainable economy- including the new economic foundation’s Great Transition Initiative
• Discuss what West Midlands civil society and others can do to make change happen, including what potential there is for collaborative action
The buffet will be a three course celebratory meal of hot and cold dishes from a diversity of culinary traditions, provided by award-winning social enterprise ChangeKitchen at a cost of £9.00 per head. ChangeKitchen produces truly delicious, sustainable food and trains disadvantaged people in food skills. We are delighted to be working with them in this event and hope you can stay and celebrate with us.
Payment for the buffet (£9.00) can be made by cheque or by Paypal in advance of the event. The speaker event is free, with tea and coffee provided.
